Ingredients
- 2 crisp apples (Braeburn or Pink Lady)
- 4 tbsp almond butter (or peanut butter)
- 2 tbsp mixed seeds (hemp, chia, pumpkin, sunflower)
- 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional)
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Squeeze of lemon juice (to prevent browning)
Method
- Core and slice apples into rounds or wedges. Toss with a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Arrange on a plate and spoon a little almond butter onto each slice.
- Scatter over mixed seeds and chocolate chips if using.
- Dust lightly with cinnamon and serve.
Tips
This is a great post-workout snack — the carbs from the apple replenish glycogen while the protein and fat from almond butter support muscle repair.
