Ingredients
- 4 medium apples (Braeburn or Bramley)
- 4 tbsp rolled oats
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp raisins or sultanas
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
- Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt, to serve
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Core the apples, leaving the base intact to hold the filling.
- Mix oats, almond butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and walnuts together.
- Pack the filling into each apple and place in a baking dish.
- Add 2 tbsp water to the dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes until apples are tender.
- Serve warm with a dollop of Greek or coconut yogurt.
Tips
Naturally sweet and fibre-rich. The oats and walnuts provide slow-releasing energy and healthy fats.
