Spiced pear crumble with a ginger oat topping — warming, comforting and lower in sugar.

Pear & Ginger Crumble

Ingredients

  • 6 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • Crumble: 150g rolled oats, 50g ground almonds, 3 tbsp coconut oil melted, 3 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp ground ginger, pinch of salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Toss pears with honey and ginger in a baking dish.
  3. Mix crumble ingredients; scatter over pears.
  4. Bake 30–35 min until golden and bubbling.
  5. Serve with Greek yogurt or oat cream.
